English Language Training

The IETSL exam is recommended because it captures the written, spoken and grammar skills all at once.

However, this test is not compulsory. You may choose to take instead three exams as follows:

TOEFL exam is required of all applicants. Although, there is course offered through some American well-known test preparatory institutions, we recommend that you choose any course that is close to your residence. The TOEFL test is widely used and easily accessible anywhere.

Test of Written English (TWE) is sometimes required, sometimes it is superseded by the TOEFL.

Test of Spoken English (TSE) is more and more required because previous foreign professionals were able to pass the written English tests but could not understand verbal communication with patients or doctors.

Be sure to contact International Medical Agency to tell you what score is needed for the destination you would like. Required scores are decided by the nursing board of each state and can change without notice.

We recommend also that you listen to American English on the Web. Sites like MSNBC.com, CNN.com etc…offered videos where English is spoken.

International Medical Agency has negotiated a reduced rate for the training through a very wel-respected and long-established test institution: Kaplan.

Those training classes are taught online.
